Welcome to the CRNA Mentorship Program! Congratulations on taking an important step to achieve your goals! As CRNA school becomes more and more competitive each year, it is incredibly important to have a mentor to guide you throughout this journey. I am here to serve you and help you achieve your goals!
Mentorship Overview
 The CRNA Mentorship was created to help you navigate the confusing, stressful, and often unclear process to become a nurse anesthetist. Throughout 2024, mentorship is open and free to all who apply. In order to participate in the Mentorship Program, you must complete the following forms to the best of your ability and be an “active participant” in your mentorship. The more specific/background information you can share about your journey the better. After completing the following forms, you will be eligible to schedule mentorship phone calls specific to your journey.
Your Mentorship Phone Calls may be scheduled at www.CRNAmentor.com Click on the “Mentoring” tab at the top of the page. Click “Book a Call” at the top of the page. This will direct you to the “Free 30 minute Phone Call.” Please fill out the form and select I am a... “Mentorship Member.”
You are welcome to schedule phone calls periodically as you navigate your journey. The phone calls are first come first serve.
In order to best serve you and keep these services FREE, I will require your effort and participation to keep your “file” up to date. After each phone call, you will be required to log the date and a summary of the topics/questions we discussed. While this may seem like an unnecessary step, it will keep your side of the bargain in being an “active participant” in your mentorship journey.
Additional Services
The overall CRNA Mentorship program is largely based on mentorship via phone calls. The phone calls last for 30 minutes and are FREE. If you are interested in additional services, all additional services are a la carte. The cost schedule is:
Mock interviews - $100 per hour
Most mock interviews can be adapted to fit your needs. However, I feel the Emotional Intelligence based questions will serve you the most and are the most common type of interview question you will encounter. Clinical based questions can certainly be included at your request. Most interviews can be completed in 1 hour. This will include the questions, your responses, and giving you immediate and direct feedback following the mock interview.
Transcript reviews - $50
Transcript reviews must coincide with a scheduled phone call. More often than not, there is a “story” that is associated with the suboptimal grades, and it is beneficial to get the backstory, if there is one. We will talk through my recommendations on how to proceed.
Personal statement reviews - $50
Personal statement reviews are just that, reviews of your near final draft of your Personal statement. I look at these personal statements through the lens of an experienced CRNA, CRNA student preceptor, and CRNA school professor. I do not edit or correct grammar. I will give you direct feedback on the overall composition and input on whether, in my opinion, your personal statement will stand out with your application.
Communication
In order to best serve you through the CRNA Mentorship Program, it is important to define some communication boundaries. The FREE phone calls are scheduled for 30 minutes. Please be respectful of the time limit. If I can accommodate a longer call duration, I will certainly let you know :)
The “30 minute Phone calls” will come from my personal cell phone. During subsequent communications, please refrain from calling or texting me. The best way to get in contact with me is via email [email protected] or you can book another phone call. This request will help keep a better log of our communication and also help me balance being a full time staff CRNA, husband, and father of four kiddos. Thank you!
Resources
As I continue to build out CRNA Mentor there will be more resources available. I encourage you to explore my website. The Video Blog is in development in the months to come. It will serve as an all inclusive, searchable resource of the content I’ve created. It will be there to answer many FAQs.
Furthermore, I will be releasing an online course this fall! This course will answer the most frequently asked question, “How do I stand out as a CRNA School applicant?”
